LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - Summer is a time when children are outside more often, and are more prone to being bit by dogs.
If a dog threatens you, here are some tips to avoid being bitten:
- Don't scream.
- Avoid eye contact.
- Keep very still until the dog leaves and then back away slowly.
If the dog is about to attack, try to put something, anything, in between you and the animal.
Tonight on KGNS News at Ten, reporter Christian von Preysing gives more tips on how to keep safe, and finds out what the experts say to do.
