Anglers get ready to wet your line as the fishing at “Lake Casa Blanca” is picking up.
KGNS News Reporter Orlando Garza explains what fishermen can expect the next time they head to open waters.
I joined some fishermen who are taking advantage of the the nice weather and as the summer break approaches and fishing is hitting full swing but their are some fishing regulations they need to fallow.
Donald Walker was mostly enjoying the sunshine on a slow and easy morning on the pier of Lake Casa Blanca.
It's not surprising considering the fishing has been hot for bass in the waters of the lake.
Walker and his friends Mark, Eddie, Sergio and Lucio have been catching a steady number of fish.
"It's moderate I mean people are catching its not as fast as going to Wal-Mart purchasing a bag a fish but everybody's catching."
Calvin Christian is the game warden, he says the past couple of months fishing at the lake has been better than usual.
"The way we find out if fishing is good is by checking people out by the water,"people like to brag when they catch a big fish and I make a point to ask whats biting and what are you using for bait
sometimes the fish tell a different story from the fisherman although the ones caught today weren't that big the park saw some pretty big fish last month."
These pictures were taken from fisher man in march and April.
On the Lake Casa Blanca Facebook you can see 10-pound bass and catfish weighing over 80 pounds.
Walker and his friends may not have caught fish this big, but they take in the day anyway.
"Keeps you firm, keeps you settled in life and clears the mind it feels good out here."
Out here walker and the boys relaxing under sunny skies, with a bonus of catching a couple a fish for dinner.
