LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - A decision is expected Friday on the temporary replacement for County Commissioner of Precinct I Mike Montemayor.

Meanwhile, the county is looking into the allegations that Montemayor has never lived in his district.

Frank Sciaraffa, the former County Commissioner of Precinct I, filed a petition this week. In it, he claims Commissioner Montemayor has not lived in his precinct. It's one of the requirements to run for the position.

Currently, Montemayor will be temporarily replaced as he faces federal bribery charges.

Sciaraffa is requesting Montemayor be removed from office permanently, not temporarily, as is being done right now.

Montemayor's trial is scheduled to begin May 16th.
