LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Laredo Community College invites you to get in touch with nature!

Experience the wonders of nature during Laredo Community College’s Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center’s Saturday trail clean-up for the Paso del Indio Nature Trail this Saturday, April 5 at the Fort McIntosh Campus.

Nature lovers of any age are invited to help clean up the trail. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with participants hitting the trail from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Community services hours are available for any students who may need them.

The center also will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for self-guided tours. Visitors can say hello to the American alligators or check in on the turtles, skunk, bobcat and raccoon while learning more about the native animals and plants of South Texas.

Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens. The center is free and open to LCC and TAMIU students, faculty, and staff with a valid college ID card.
