LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - J.B. Alexander High School gets a visit from a famous actress.
Elizabeth De Razzo is a Laredo native. She attended and graduated Alexander in the Class of 1999, and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
De Razzo then landed a role in the main cast of the HBO series "Eastbound and Down."
Wednesday, she came back to Alexander as a guest speaker to the high school's drama class.
"In order to show them what you can accomplish if you stay in school, if you do keep pursuing this road, you can do whatever you want," said De Razzo.
De Razzo shared her experiences in the world of acting with the students, and cannot stress enough to them to not give up on their dreams.
"I just started pursuing acting," said De Razzo. "I really had no idea what I was doing. I learned along the way and that's basically what I'm here to do, just share my experience so that they're able to steer clear from some of the like 'Oh my god, I should've never done that.'"
De Razzo also donated several of her dresses to the school just in time for prom season.
