There are three different projects in Laredo going on April 1st and 2nd that will cause temporary interruption of water services.
LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - There are two projects going on the day of Tuesday, April 1st, that will cause temporary interruption of water services.
One project involves the installation of a 6-inch fire line tap. This will be installed by the City of Utilities Department, and will cause traffic inconvenience in the area.
Work will take approximately eight hours, weather permitting, between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, between the following blocks:
- 417 Logistic Dr.
- 421 Logistic Dr.
- 426 Logistic Dr.
- 429 Logistic Dr.
- 442 Logistic Dr.
In addition to this project, there will be another project involving an 8-inch water line tie-in on the following places:
- 3500 Nubes Dr.
- 3500 Sereno Dr.
Work for this project will take approximately 4 hours to complete, weather permitting, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to travel on alternate routes during this time.
On Wednesday, April 2nd, there will be a US Cold Storage Warehouse project causing interruption of water service and briefly putting fire hydrants out of service.
This will involve Laredo Concrete Cutting installing a 12-inch water line at 1602 Island Drive and Santa Maria Ave.
The following areas will have interruption of water:
- 7200 Santa Maria Ave.
- 7300 Santa Maria Ave.
- 1500 Island Dr.
Fire hydrants will be out of service on the west side of Santa Maria Ave., from Calton Rd. to Del Mar Blvd.
Work will take approximately 8 hours to complete, weather permitting, starting at 7:00 pm.
