LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) -- A kick-off campaign tonight for a candidate who wants to be the next city councilman in District 1.
Jose Conde was surrounded by friends, family and colleagues as he made the big announcement tonight on the city's south side.
He says he's learned that change can come through hard work and a leader with integrity.
His logo of the Republic of Texas says it all.
"It's got three stars and those three stars are my core values: honor, integrity and transparency and that's what I want," said Jose Conde. I want to bring to Laredo an attitude of change that yes I can do this, out with the old and in with the new. Basically give the people what they really want from public servants like myself."
Conde graduated from United South before getting his degree in communications and public relations from UTSA in San Antonio.
