LCC Education Foundation debuts new officers

The L.C.C. Education Foundation passed over the ceremonial reigns to its new officers during their monthly meeting on Monday, May 19 in the Private David B. Barkeley Cantu Veterans Memorial Chapel.

LAREDO, TEXAS (LCC) - The L.C.C. Education Foundation passed over the ceremonial reigns to its new officers during their monthly meeting on Monday, May 19 in the Private David B. Barkeley Cantu Veterans Memorial Chapel.

Foundation President-elect Edward Sherwood presented Richard Sames with a gift of thanks for his time as president of the board. Also in attendance were Vice President-elect Carlos Perez and trustee Vicente V. Garza Jr. Not present at the meeting were Secretary Roseanne Palacios and trustees Henri D. Kahn, Antoinette Vela, Radcliff Killam and Danielle Marasco.

The officers will hold their first meeting of the year on August 18.

The L.C.C Education Foundation works to obtain funds from private sources for student scholarships, construction of buildings, and maintenance of campus buildings, or any other needs determined by the college and the foundation.
