LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Teachers at Laredo ISD could see a raise coming their way.
The District may be spending $6 million on teacher salary adjustments as soon as the next coming school year. Right now, the base pay for a first year teacher is $42,700. That salary increases based on years of experience, and shoots up $2,000 more if the teacher has a Master's Degree.
Tonight on KGNS News at Six, reporter Christian von Preysing tells us what an increase could mean for teachers, as well as the District.
