LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - The president of the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars in Laredo is retiring after 22 years of service.
The organization is for female relatives of veterans who served in combat overseas. Outgoing President Catalina Trevino Reyna says her service helped her during her son's deployment during Desert Storm. She encourages more women to get involved to rebuild membership, which has declined.
