LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - The Laredo Next Generation Rotary Club, in partnership with the City of Laredo, the Laredo Independent School District, and Rotary District 5930, is building a children’s playground at the Anita T. Dovalina Elementary School.

The playground will be enjoyed by students, but also open to the community after school hours.

Rotarian volunteers will build the playground over the course of the day. Along with providing the manpower for the buildout, the club led fundraising efforts that made this playground a reality.

The Laredo Next Generation Rotary Club was chartered in May 2008 and is one of five Rotary Clubs in Laredo. Its membership represents a cross section of professionals and leaders with a desire and keen interest to serve the community.

The club meets every Wednesday at 7:30 pm, at Hal’s Landing.
