LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - Taxi drivers are challenging the revision of an ordinance in the City of Laredo that would restrict the resale of taxi permits.

The City of Laredo issues a limited number of permits, based on factors including population. The new rule would allow transfers in the case of the permit holder's death. Critics say the rule would prevent them from liquidating an investment.

Tonight on KGNS News at Six, reporter Christian von Preysing gives us more on this story.
