Laredo reveals development projects for wastewater treatment plants

LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - The City of Laredo has development projects ongoing for three wastewater treatment plants.

One of those, the Sombreretillo plant, will be located in the Mines Road area. Utilities Director Tomas Rodriguez says the placement will complement ongoing growth in that part of the city. The development of new plants will also allow Utility staff to close down the Zacate Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.
