Man loses arm in train accident

A man is recovering in a Nuevo Laredo hospital after losing a limb in a train accident.

The man from Honduras jumped from a moving train, when he slipped and fell underneath.

NUEVO LAREDO, MX (KGNS) - A man is recovering in a Nuevo Laredo hospital after losing a limb in a train accident.

The man from Honduras jumped from a moving train, when he slipped and fell underneath. The metal wheel severed his left arm.

26-year-old Ismael Perez say he's dealing with the pain.

Perez says he was coming from Monterrey and hoped to get to Houston in search of a job.

For now, doctors have him on antibiotics and pain killers. He's expected to be in the hospital at least two weeks.
