LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - A Dallas man has pled guilty to smuggling weapons and ammunition into Mexico.
Martin Lopez-Villela, 51, was arrested back in February at the Lincoln Juarez Bridge. That's where inspectors found two semi-automatic weapons and 300 rounds of ammunition.
Court documents show Lopez-Villela admitted he purchased them in Dallas and was transporting them to San Luis, Potosi to a dealer there, for $450.
He could face 50 years in prison.
