Marijuana bust on Santa Clara Street

U.S. Marshals had discovered narcotics during the serving of an arrest warrant.

The Marshals discovered the narcotics inside one of the bedrooms.

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - The Laredo Police Department Narcotics and Vice Unit responded to 2200 block of Santa Clara St., where the U.S. Marshals had discovered narcotics during the serving of an arrest warrant.

The U.S. Marshals were looking for a fugitive, Rigoberto Izaguirre, and got consent to search the said residence when they discovered the narcotics inside one of the bedrooms. The said narcotics were seized along with $981 in currency.

While at the scene the U.S Marshals located Izaguirre at a different location. The U.S Marshals then transported Rigoberto Izaguirre to L.P.D headquarters where he was interviewed by the LPD Narcotics Unit.

Izaguirre then confessed to being the owner of the narcotics and was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance.
