LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - The D.A. office reveals a new PSA to bring awareness on gun safety.
The new PSA was created by Veronica Astudillo, after she was ordered to come up with something as part of her probation. Astudillo left her .45 caliber handgun in her closet. There was no lock on the door, no lock on the gun case and no lock on the trigger. Her 10-year-old brother tragically killed his 12-year-old friend, Nicolas Moreno.
Tonight on KGNS News at Ten, reporter Christian von Preysing tells us what Astudillo learned from the incident, and well as what she wants the community to learn on securing their firearms.
