LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) -- A local elementary school puts on a huge concert.
It was all about the 80's as the Newman show choir took the stage.
With a total of 149 students from 3rd to 5th grade the school has one of the largest elementary show choirs in the state.
All of them have shown a great interest in performing under the direction of music teacher and choir director Stephanie Galindo.
Many of them received awards.
Fifth grader Valeria Rivera says getting ready for the show was a big thrill.
The students have been practicing five months for the big 80's performance.
Our own Noraida Negron and Jerry Garza were the emcees for the event.
