Beginning tomorrow, August 18, frequent travelers into Mexico will have the opportunity to apply for quick passage.
The SENTRI lane at the Lincoln-Juarez bridge is a lane with quick processing for low-risk travelers. It has been in existence for some time. However, starting Monday, August 18th, they will be extending their office hours. It is being done in anticipation of some changes happening soon. CBP Public Affairs Officer Rick Pauza says, "This is an important program, especially as we look at the construction project that will affect Bridges I & II in mid January of 2015. The northbound vehicular traffic from Gateway to the Americas Bridge will shift to Lincoln-Juarez Bridge. So, it really behooves the traveler, especially those who cross on a frequent basis to enroll in the SENTRI program. "
The new hours for the office will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM through 7:00 PM. They will also be open Saturdays 9:00 AM through 1:00 PM. These changes are temporary until further notice.
