To any District III residents who fail to comply with the violation, they will be issued a fine.

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Residents of Laredo's District III will be doing some spring cleaning in the next few days.

The successful "Operation Clean-Up" campaign is back, and city representatives will be traveling from Marion Street to Chacon Street, and then from Mendiola Street to Bartlett Street.

Roy Garcia of the City Code Enforcement Division says many city departments will be participating.

"We have inspectors from various departments from the city," said Garcia. "We have the zoning department, building department, police department, health inspectors, animal control, and code enforcement officers out going door to door, speaking to property owners about maintenance. Also, if a violation is noted, we give them 7-10 days to comply with the violation."

To any District III residents who fail to comply with the violation, they will be issued a fine.

"Fines for these types of violations go anywhere from $200 to $2,000," said Garcia. "We ask that people cooperate with the campaign or whatever violation was noted at their address."

The items will be picked up by the Department of Solid Waste on April 2nd. The city asks residents to have any of those items outside by 7:00 am.
