STAIVA has a message they want the community to hear.

South Texas Afghanistan Iraq Veterans Association (STAIVA)

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - South Texas Afghanistan Iraq Veterans Association, STAIVA, would like to thank all of its members who participated this weekend in The Keep Laredo Beautiful Tire Round-Up Event.

With the assistance of several members throughout the city, STAIVA was able to round-up and clean-up 284 illegally dumped tires. We quickly realized the problem the city has with illegally dumped tires and the hazards they present.

STAIVA is incredibly proud to be part of the team during this weekend’s round-up event. We were able to hit up several different neighborhoods including; Los Presidents, Concord Hills, Santo Nino, Las Cruces, El Trompezon, Las Lomas, Heights, Three Points, El Siete Viejo/Nuevo, Las Canta Ranas, Lowry Farm on Mines Rd and various others. We quickly filled three trucks, a trailer and made two trips to the landfill.

STAIVA realized this is a big issue that is being addressed by city and we ask all STAIVA members and the community to do their part in Keeping Laredo Beautiful.
