LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) -- The topic of bullying is a hot topic among parents, teachers and students throughout the school year.
One school district rewards their students for spreading the message of kindness all year round.
The Department of Guidance and Counseling hosted its third annual "Rachel’s Challenge" end of the school year ceremony.
In attendance were all of LISD schools with students participating in an anti-bullying parade and a proclamation that was read by Webb County Attorney Marco Montemayor.
Throughout the school year students created paper links representing their acts of kindness.
Each campus showed off their students’ links, connect all of them, and release helium filled balloons.
