Rio Bravo Mayor Manuel Vela, Jr. turned himself in at the Webb County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.
We're told it was due to a pending warrant for many charges including Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, Money Laundering, and Promotion of Gambling, among others.
His bond was set at $250,000 and, according to a release from the city of Rio Bravo, he was released by 11:00pm Wednesday night.
