RIO BRAVO, TX (KGNS) - The city of Rio Bravo is missing a fire chief and many of its volunteers.
Rio Bravo Mayor Manuel Vela said the city council voted to terminate fire chief Julio Gonzalez. Gonzalez was chief for roughly one year.
Vela said the firing is over cases of mismanagement which has led to the damage of department vehicles. Vela also said Gonzalez is under investigation for giving away vehicle parts. Some of the volunteers also left with the chief.
