LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) -- A rehabilitation center gets an upgrade that will help kids who are in need of therapy receive the help they need.
The Ruthe B. Cowl Rehabilitation Center received a pediatric equipment donation from the Women's City Club.
Funds for the new equipment were raised by the organization.
The goal for the equipment is to help children recuperate faster and get back to their normal lives.
"The equipment will be used first of all the children that come here," said Jackie Rodriguez. "They need a doctor's referral once we get the it, the process starts and depending on the plan of care, the doctor and the therapist work together in combining the equipment will be implemented to the plan of care which will help them get them to where they need to go."
For more information on the pediatric equipment you can visit the Ruthe B. Cowl center on 1220 North Malinche.
