A program coordinator for Mujeres Sanas en la Frontera says that at least 60 percent of patients seen come with experiences of trauma. The organization is hoping to improve the lives of women who are going through addiction and have been sexually or physically abused.

LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - SCAN is bringing awareness to a program to assist women who are struggling with drug and alcohol abuse.

A program coordinator for Mujeres Sanas en la Frontera says that at least 60 percent of patients seen come with experiences of trauma. The organization is hoping to improve the lives of women who are going through addiction and have been sexually or physically abused.
