LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - An outreach worker with the social services organization Serving Children and Adults in Need (SCAN) says that a new drug is gaining popularity in nearby areas.
Phenazepam is a prescription that is taken for epilepsy and insomnia. She says the drug is accessible to youth online without a prescription. Veronica Jimenez says the drug comes with side effects, including several deaths that she says have been reported.
