LAREDO, TX (KGNS) – Webb County Sheriff Deputies arrested a local man Saturday afternoon who made online threats against law enforcement agencies earlier that day.

Jesus Luis Cortinas, 25, of the 1900 block of Philadelphia Street, remained without bond at the Webb County Jail Monday morning. He was charged with False Alarm/Report.

Deputies initially attempted to charge Cortinas with Terroristic Threats, but the charge was later set at False Alarm/Report. Cortinas, who has an extensive criminal history, is alleged to have made deadly threats against law enforcement officers in the Laredo area on his social media page.

Sheriff Deputies working a special detail in West Laredo arrested him Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Santa Rita Avenue and Farias Street. Cortinas, who was driving a Hyundai Accent, initially attempted to elude Sheriff Deputies, but was captured a few blocks away.

NOTE: The following post appeared on Cortinas’ Social Media Page. Due to the explicit nature of a word, it was not fully spelled out in this press release.
