Zapata County Sheriff's Deputies raided two businesses suspected of selling illegal drugs on Wednesday.
Deputies, along with the Department of Public Safety and the Drug Enforcement Administration, raided Kuan Temple and Cleo's Smoke. Those businesses are suspected of selling synthetic marijuana, a manufactured substance often sold legally. In this case, deputies believe some of the products contain chemical ingredients banned by the state.
Samples collected at both scenes will be sent away to testing.
No people have been arrested, but Chief Deputy Raymundo del Bosque, Jr. says arrests will be likely.
