SAN ANTONIO, TX (WOAI) -- The family of a student shot and killed by a University of Incarnate Word police officer has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the University and the officer.
Cameron Redus was shot 5 times by UIW Corporal Christopher Carter on December 6th. The autopsy said it was a gunshot wound to the back that killed him. Corporal Carter claims he opened fire as Redus charged at him with his hands raised.
