LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - TAMIU staff is "stepping up" in a different kind of way.
They are starting their Walking Challenge, which is part of the University's innovative employee Health and Wellness Program, called "HealthyU." TAMIU President Ray Keck will lead employees in an inaugural on-campus walk.
220 TAMIU employees have formed 44 teams of five to begin the
ten week Walking Challenge. They are given custom pedometers and can track their individual and team progress on a dedicated web site.
"HealthyU" is designed to educate, empower and support TAMIU employees in elevating campus health and wellness with activities, information sharing and dedicated wellness programming.
