LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - TAMIU and Laredo Community College signed an agreement Wednesday to announce four-year engineering plan.
Students who start at LCC's pre-engineering program will have a clear curriculum before transferring to TAMIU.
TAMIU will accept the credits and allows students to get a bachelor of science in systems engineering.
"We know exactly which sciences to take, exactly which math courses to take, and exactly which classes will apply directly to the program in engineering at A&M International University," said Juan Maldonado, president of LCC.
The agreement is designed to split the coursework evenly between the two institutions.
The TAMIU systems engineering program started in 2008. There are now around students enrolled.
