LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Could a new type of equipment worn by Texas state police come in handy?

DPS and the Department of Parks and Wildlife use body cameras to better protect the public, as well as the officers themselves. Just months ago, the state initiated the use of body cameras for Texas law enforcement.

Tonight on KGNS News at Ten, reporter Christian von Preysing tells us how these cameras work, and how officers say it helps them on the field.
