LAREDO, TEXAS (UISD) - UISD congratulates Trautmann middle school administration, staff, students, and parents.

This summer, the campus garnered two recognitions as a High Performing Reward School and High Progress School by the Texas Education Agency (T.E.A.). The announcement was made on June 27, 2014.

Additionally, T.M.S. is the only UISD campus to earn the dual distinctions for the 2013-2014 school year.

As a High Performing Reward School, T.M.S. is categorized as Title I school, with distinctions based on reading and math performance.

The High Progress School recognition indicates that T.M.S. is representative of a Title I school in the top 25 percent in annual improvement, and/or a school in the top 25 percent of those demonstrating ability to close performance gaps based on system safeguards.

Principal Leticia Menchaca is rightfully proud of her faculty, staff and students for their accomplishments and for exceeding all expectations.
