U.I.S.D. Extends Deadline for League of Legends Nominations

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Do you know any U.I.S.D. alumni that deserves recognition? Well, there's still time to help give them the spotlight.

The United Independent School District's League of Legends Program recognizes former graduates whose accomplishments are nothing short of inspirational. UISD has offcially extended the deadline to turn in any nominations for this honor.

A selection committee will consider nominees in the areas of outstanding service to the country or community, career advancement, or philanthropy. Anyone can nominate a UISD graduate for the program that has graduated at least five years ago or before. The nominees may live in Laredo or out of town. The district will select up to ten individuals to represent each of their high school campuses; John B. Alexander, Lyndon B. Johnson, United, and United South High Schools.

Nominations can be submitted to the Office of the Superintendent at 201 Lindenwood Drive. A nomination form can be downloaded from their website at UISD.net.
