LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) -- The Veterans Affairs System that represents Laredo says it's learned that some of its staff are not following protocol.
A representative for the Texas Valley Coastal Health Care Bend system, says some new employees in charge of scheduling were not following rules that required patients to be seen 14 days after asking for an appointment.
The news comes after a regularly scheduled meeting yesterday, where the system's director heard complaints from local veterans about appointment delays.
The training team is made of head scheduling staff for the regional clinic system.
Disciplinary action will not be taken with department employees.
