W.C.S.O. Narcotic Unit arrests suspected drug dealer

LAREDO, TEXAS (Webb County) – A man reportedly attempting to sell heroin in downtown Laredo is arrested.

Information received by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic stated that a man driving a green Ford Ranger was selling heroin at Bruni Plaza, early Monday morning. Sheriff’s deputies following up on the information, spotted the pickup truck and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Bartolo Garcia, 56, was found with 32 doses of heroin wrapped in aluminum foil.

The heroin has an estimated street value of $1,272. Garcia was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone, Felony 1. He remains at the Webb County jail with no bond.
