LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - It's been two weeks since County Commissioner of Precinct I, Mike Montemayor, was accused on bribery charges.
Early this morning, he emerged after not saying anything and posted a message for his constituents on his Facebook page.
In the message he says he has never had his head down, or been embarrassed. He also said he was following orders from his attorneys, but now he is back.
Montemayor also says he is ready to continue his work as commissioner and he will never quit.
Yesterday, his attorneys made a motion in federal court to seal some documents that the prosecution has presented to the court.
