LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - The Webb County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for tips after the bust of a drug stash house in Central Laredo.

Deputies found 14 bundles of marijuana at the home on the 1700 block of Gustavus. They estimate the pot weighs in at 300 pounds. They also found other types of drug items.

One man, Miguel Mendoza Rodriguez, 42, was arrested. Hen transported to the Webb County Jail in lieu of no bond. The Sheriff's Office says the home had been under surveillance for quite some time.

"We also found wrappers and bundles of trash bags," said Juan Rendon, of the Sheriff's Department. "Which indicates to us that this place was where they unwrapped and rewrapped. To send it up north and elsewhere."

The Sheriff's Department says they're trying to clean up criminal activity in local neighborhoods, but the only way they can do so is from tips from the public.
