Immigrants deported to Nuevo Laredo

The US government is slowly starting to deport immigrants back to Central America, but according to reports out of Nuevo Laredo, they are not all being sent back to their countries of origin.

Representatives say while they are not seeing large numbers now, they are not prepared to handle the influx of immigrants expected to be deported in the near future.

NUEVO LAREDO, MX (KGNS) - The US government is slowly starting to deport immigrants back to Central America, but according to reports out of Nuevo Laredo, they are not all being sent back to their countries of origin.

Shelters in our Sister City like Casa Nazaret and the Center for Minors on the border say they too are seeing children and women showing up at their doors after being deported from the US.

Representatives say while they are not seeing large numbers now, they are not prepared to handle the influx of immigrants expected to be deported in the near future.

Other Mexican reports show the homeless population on the streets is now growing, as well.
