QIUBEI COUNTY, JAPAN (NBC) - Chinese authorities say two children died and another 30 were sickened in a mass poisoning at a kindergarten in southwestern China.
According to statement from the Provincial Government, investigators have identified the toxic substance as a powerful rat poison, but they don't know yet how it became ingested at the kindergarten March 19th.
The statement said food served at the school has been tested and found to be safe. It's not clear whether the poisoning was intentional or an accident.
