(CNN) - Do you have a Gmail account? Google says it has strengthened its security to make mass surveillance of your email nearly impossible.
Google has secured how you connect to its servers. Now its strictly using a secure communications protocol called "HTTPS," which encripts your email on its entire journey.
The move is in response to disclosures about government surveillance made by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden. The changes are said to be not quite NSA proof, but very close.
