LINCOLNTON, NC (WOAI) - Some women will likely start wearing closed-toe shoes the next time they visit Walmart in this North Carolina town.

Police there have arrested a man who allegedly tried to suck a stranger's toes inside the store. Michael Brown of Concord is charged with misdemeanor assault for the strange incident.

Police say a woman claimed Brown approached her and asked if he could help her try on shoes. She thought he worked there and agreed when he said he was a podiatry student. While helping her, he unexpectedly put her toes in his mouth and sucked on them. She ran off to alert her husband and police.

This isn't Brown's first toe-sucking arrest. In 2001, he was convicted for breaking into a house and sucking a woman's toes. Brown is a registered sex offender.
