HOUSTON, TEXAS (KPRC) - Sirens and flashing lights filled a normally quiet neighborhood Tuesday night after a 16-year-old girl was shot in the neck.
Houston police believed she got into an argument with her boyfriend at her home on Heatherton Hill Lane and Regal Oaks Bend Lane.
At some point, the 17-year-old boy pulled out a gun and shot a shot at the victim.
The shooting happened on the second floor of the home in the girl's bedroom.
Investigators said the girl is expected to survive.
The 17-year-old shooter reportedly left the scene after the shooting and went home.
According to officers, the shooter's father brought his son back to the scene, where police arrested the teenager.
Investigators said he would likely be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
