SAN ANTONIO, TX (WOAI) - Immigration Customs Enforcement tracks sexual predators in the country illegally. Some of those convicted of committing sex crimes against children.

ICE has deported hundreds of sex offenders here illegally, targeting those who served time in jail and prison or making arrests through tips and surveillance. ICE has arrested and deported more than 800 sex offenders in Texas this year so far.

160 of those were in the San Antonio area. At least 32 of them were convicted in San Antonio for sex offenses against children. In fact, recently ICE agents nabbed a 24-year-old Mexican national in San Antonio who was convicted for indecency with a 14-year-old girl.

These sex offenders have been or will eventually be deported to their home countries, ICE officials stated. They've been entered into a database so they can be tracked and will face a tough punishment if they try to re-enter.
