RIO HONDO, TEXAS (KVEO) - The arraignment is set for six volunteer firefighters accused of setting more than a dozen fires in the Rio Hondo area last year.
They were formally indicted earlier this month. Officials say the suspects set more than fifteen structure fires and then went back to extinguish them.
They will go before a judge next Wednesday in Brownsville. The Cameron County Fire Marshal Service is the lead agency.
No injuries were reported in the fires although there were major damages.
The suspects told investigators they started the fires because they were bored.
