FRISCO, TEXAS (NBC) - Frisco police are investigating a double-murder inside a house just a few feet away from where middle-school kids gathered for band practice.

Officers found an adult man and woman inside a house near a middle school around 2:00 am.

Everyone involved in this double-homicide is related. An adult man and woman are dead, and a related 16-year-old male suspect was arrested at the house.

The house is only about 50 yards away from Wester Middle School, where Monday is the first day of band camp for local students.

Police did not force the cancellation of the event and say there's no public threat.

Police responded to a 911 shots fired call at the house, but they're not confirming how the two adults died.

The juvenile male was arrested, and police confirm he is related to the two adults, but they're not going into details yet about "how" they're related.

Police say there were several other family members inside the house at the time of the murders.
