Car flips and catches fire after running red light

Two people are recovering after a wild crash on the the city

Both vehicles crashed, but the black car also flipped and caught fire.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (WOAI) - Two people are recovering after a wild crash on the the city's Northwest Side late Wednesday night.

Witnesses told police they saw a black car speeding on the access road of Loop 410 near Evers when it apparently ran a red light and hit a silver SUV. Both vehicles crashed, but the black car also flipped and caught fire.

Two people in the black car were taken to University Hospital. Their conditions are not yet known. The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
