(NBC) -- The bodies of a Navy veteran and his girlfriend were discovered Sunday inside a North Texas home in an apparent murder-suicide.
Officers in Rowlett said 35-year-old Brandon McClain's mother went to check on her son after he missed his son's baseball game Saturday.
When he didn't answer the door, she walked to the back of the house and saw the body of 30-year-old Amanda Todhunter on the kitchen floor. She immediately called police who later found McClain's body near his girlfriend's in the kitchen.
Both the man and woman suffered gunshot wounds to the head.
Police said this isn't the first time they have been called to the home.
Police said there were no signs of a break-in and that they aren't searching for anyone in connection with the crime.
