CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (KRIS) - The search is on for the driver who backed into an older woman crossing the street and dragged her under a truck as they sped away.

Corpus Christi police released a photo of the 2003-2006 Chevrolet pickup. It's a grainy photo, but that is all they have to work on right now.

Witnesses told police the truck blew through a stop sign at Mary and Harmon Streets around 7pm last night. The driver backed up, hit the woman crossing the street, and sped off with her stuck underneath.

She suffered injuries to her hip and legs, but is expected to survive.

Witnesses report the driver of the black, Chevy Silverado with chrome flares, wheels and step bars appeared to be a man in his 30's. No further description is available.
